Crocodile ReproductionFemale freshwater crocodiles will reach sexual maturity after 11-14 years. They lay 13-20 eggs and rarely guard their nests. The eggs will take about 75 to 85 days to incubate. Female saltwater crocodiles will reach sexual maturity at around 12 years of age. They lay 40-60 eggs and guard their nests. The eggs will take about 80 days to incubate. Baby crocodiles are called hatchlings. A group of baby crocodiles is called a creche.
